There are many different ways of drawing. All of them depend on the way that artists look at the world around them. and then render these three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional surface.
You will find yourself looking at people in a totally different way. A bus or train journey will become a life class. Carry a notebook and jot down a sketch or comment about a nose, hair style, jaw-line or hand gesture. Collect a whole 'vocabulary' of human types. Even the most boring TV programmes can give you the chance to study the quirks and foibles of your fellow men and women.
