Learning to draw

Nearly all children draw pictures to express themselves in their early years at school. They do this without fear of 'getting it wrong'. They say things like, "That's our house" and "That's my dad cutting the grass". As they get older they start to think that drawing is difficult and beyond their ability. We believe that everybody can learn to express their ideas through drawings in their own style. Not academic or realistic images: not 'correct' but 'effective' drawings, which get funnier and more 'you' as you get better at it.

You may have said to yourself “I wish I could draw”. Well, the good news is that you can! And this course will show you how.

You may have many reasons for learning how to draw cartoons – to add to your income; to illustrate a club, school or parish magazine; as a teaching aid, or to amuse your family and friends with drawings of people and animals of your invention.

From the very first chapter you will be starting on the exciting journey of cartoon-drawing.
